Honeysuckle prefers full sun to partial shade, but more sun will lead to more flowers. Ideally, it needs well-drained soil with plenty of organic content, but can grow in different soil conditions. It requires frequent watering during the growing period, but is drought-resistant once established. It needs a support structure, such as an arbor or trellis.
