Chop is not inappropriate to kids and does not have particularly offensive or explicit connotations. Parents must, however, see to it that children interpret the tone- it may be dismissive or disrespectful when applied in a negative direction of others. The use of slang should be encouraged in a respectful manner, and this way the children will maintain positive communication. When it is not used as a way of excluding others or mocking them, there is nothing wrong in using chopped in any conversation or chats.
